ME TOO!!!

in case you're having that deflated feeling because one of the pan-ultimate holiday specials passed by unbeknownst to you (as opposed to me, whose deflation originates in the utter inability to get that opening title on digi), HEAVE A SIGH OF RELIEF! it's on again thanksgiving night at 8PM on ABC. of my three favorite parts in this schultz-slice-of-holiday-season-brilliance

(when snoopy is preparing the feast in charlie brown's kitchen, when snoopy is fighting the lawn chair, and when snoopy is serving up the feast)

two of them involve toast. you can extrapolate and derive your own summations from that at some later point in time. at your own leisure, as they might say.... for now just know that i saw this feast of toast, popcorn, pretzels and jelly beans as one to be coveted.

the lesser known animated schultz special that followed was called
IMG_6158.JPG
as you might expect it was about the pilgrim experience on the mayflower,
IMG_6155.JPG
which did include discussion, albeit brief, of the unsanitary conditions, and an example of creative brilliance under stress....
IMG_6156.JPG
they covered what transpired in the ultimate first season of NEW WORLD; the mayflower house...
IMG_6157.JPG
.sorry, i couldn't resist. anywho, it was definately one of the better later-years-specials! schultz gave the natives alotta props
IMG_6161.JPG
here we see the gang going off to get fish, so they can plant the corn...
IMG_6154.JPG
however through the entire show, i couldn't quite let go of the fact that so many of the characters looked as though they had been school house rock players....

so, at the moment i don't remember how to make a link, but if you want the low-down for the next two weeks' worth of holiday viewing (to avoid those uglier moments of realizing something has passed you by), go check out the holiday listing at TV GUIDE http://www.tvguide.com/Special/Holiday-Guide-2008/calendar.aspx. i'll change that to a link as soon as i double check my html....until then, just copy and paste that sucker...
