in the midst of doing one thing, this other sitch interjected itself
i planted a shade flower mix in one part of "the garden", for example.....
and then by some kinda switch-on-a-switch, i was in southampton at heather's birthday party.
sage was wicked rad to get us (i was sitting with her and darryl ) a small schmorgasboorg of snax.
did you know i met sage when i was in the third grade? her grandparents lived next door to a family that was wicked good friends with my family, and sage played with their daughter....which is how i met her....dude, that was MANY moons ago.....
there were a ton of people i didn't know there, and a couple i did.... and actually, one i knew from high school, but had never really spoken with until this very party....
turns out eric hamilton is a real nice guy...
it was so hot by the pool, i started to feel wicked woozy....
so i was forced to take to the woods on a couple of different occaisions....you know how it can be.... celtic skin and heat stroke are fair weather friends.....
i was stoked on the catering aspect of the program
once we were all under the tent, we looked like a whole bunch more than when we were all out around the pool....
i met heather in kindergarten.
she lived accross the street from my mccolgan cousins, but i don't remember meeting her until school....
also, heather's dog is wicked sweet! even if a bit camera shy....

long lazing daze
which is not to say i didn't do anything....for instance, i enjoyed some quality grilling time
i took the tofu, zucchini, and portabello mushrooms
and put all that hot vegetable goodness on some red lettuce and grape tomatoes, using the marinade as the vinagrette
need i say YUM!!! ?
i also played with chocolate, which is ALWAYS a good time!

ted in the haus
my bloggin' skillz are seriously laggin'.... ted hung out for the whole weekend, and all i got were these two shots.
the first was before we went to osaka for lunch, and this second after.... i like this little place who's name escapes me at this very moment. it reminds me of Needles and Pens, in their old space on 14th, but without the gallery

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPORTY!!!
my brother and his family came over for a little birthday fete.
kinnon is always sorta the star of these gatherings...
which totally bums tessy out, since SHE loves being the star!
i have NO IDEA what these people are looking at!
whatever it is, i didn't do it! i was over here
working the grill
in case it wasn't totally apparent.....i think i did pretty well with the spread....
everyone seemed to enjoy it...although maybe not as much as the presents!

if you look closely at this crowd, you'll see members of CHALICE sitting on the couch...still not the pict i thought i'd taken...
i can't speak for erin
but my mind was so blown by will's smashyourfaceadon-stylings that i could barely see on the walk home....
