new sweaters

i made tessy a couple of new sweaters. these are of my own design and everything!
the first, of course, had to be a plaid!

IMG_3158.JPG

i think i might slip stitch yellow over this, ultimately. that way it would almost match her collar. or would that be too much?

IMG_3161.JPG
the second was the irish fisherman sweater! the cable i used is the same one i used for the sleeves of my green sweater. the sleeves are a necessity for tessy, since she gathers the most snow stones there...(literally, little stone-like orbs of snow form on the fur in that area...and of course i can't cut her hair since it's so cold out now, so the sleeves cover a lot of fur and prevent the snow stones from forming....) if you feel you just have to own onna these, email me and we could make arrangements.

another stroll with me thru the dog park

IMG_3126.JPG
what can i say? i'm here almost every day now, and am still blown away by it's beauty....of course, you DO have to watch out for all the poop at that first field, but once you get in deep, it's all good....(hey, that's kinda like life, isn't it?)

i've always thought that vines look so beautiful climbing up trees, despite being told by arborists that the tree is damaged/weakened by such situations. i have to admit, at this time of year, it's much easier to see the violence...

IMG_3127.JPG

i wanna get my moss on in the yard this year....
IMG_3129.JPG

and ferns...not that i took any pictures of ferns...but i really wanna buncha ferns in the yard, as well as the house....they're just so delicately beautiful!
IMG_3130.JPG

there are all these randomly placed concrete blocks throughout the walk...it makes me wanna go look up old maps at forbes library to see if something was torn down here. maybe the old state hospital came back even further at one point...
IMG_3131.JPG

tessy does A LOT of stalking at the dog park....
IMG_3135.JPG

IMG_3140.JPG

IMG_3144.JPG

somehow i was able to get this pose outta her....she's usually in constant motion...unless she's eating the mud...
IMG_3136.JPG

IMG_3145.JPG

at some point during this walk every day, i find myself thinking, it might be fun to do a walking tour in new england...like maine or something....i've seen so little of maine.......yup, those are somma my exact thoughts...
IMG_3146.JPG

i don't know my exact thoughs for this shot, but i think it's a pretty good one. i like how you can see the smoke stack of a converted factory in the background of another converted factory. many folks might not know there was a huge textile industry here at one point...now most are converted or abandoned....our converted factory used to be a millinery (a hat making factory), and the smoke stack used to be the National Felt Company...actually national felt was still open when i was in elementary school....wow, you're getting the actual thoughts behind the shots as they're happening!
and IT'S SNOWING AGAIN!!!! i thought i was gonna have to go my first winter back in new england without any snow....how weird would that be?!?!?!?
