jumpin' back in

as some of you may, or may not know, i am now officially unemployed. i am hoping that with an extra 10 hours a day at my disposal (i'm including travel-time in my calculations, cuz i just know i wouldn't be chillin' on BART 1 1/2 - 2 hours everyday without the impetus of "work") i will be able to jump right back into my desired four posts a week schedule, even with all the packing i have ahead of me. now, if you know me, then you know i won't be able to just jump back in; i'm gonna have to catch you up. not that anything particularly fabulous happened, but because of all the work that's already been put into what never appeared. i have to point out that, just because i wasn't posting doesn't mean that i wasn't taking pictures, because i was...in fact, i may have taken so many pictures as to render myself overwhelmed at the concept of getting everything ready to post up in these here parts. by the time i got the pictures i wanted picked out and then photoshopped, i was so not feeling dealing with all the time it takes to upload dial-up style...I AM NOW FEELING IT! consider what's to follow as one of what i hope will be the sporadic but official guettagirl biechup blurbcat.

that's my version of the FAIRLY EASY FAIRISLE from the second stitch-n-bitch book.

i went to mr.masher's book release party at the purple skunk a while back....geez it's all kind of a blur...anywho, i dragged lisa off the bus to get somosa soup at burma superstar during peak dining hours...DUDElook at this chaos! there was a 45 minute wait time to be seated...i was in and out in about 20 minutes. after all that effort, i never ate the soup; i just carried it around smelling it all evening...i think i have a problem...what am i going to do when i'm on the east coast and can't get at this soup?

look at that moon....

we played this video game called KAREOKE REVOLUTION, which is kind of modelled after BUST A GROOVE, in which you sing from a selection of songs, and you're scored based on how frequently you remain "on tune", as tracked by the computer in the game
IMG_1652.JPG
the main difference seems to be the outrageous characters you can create, and that the game unlocks new songs and characters as you progress through the game...which seemed like an indication of "level" equivalent.

when i walked over to my brief stay at anthony's APE-DO-GOOD BBQ OPEN HOUSE, i saw this dog losing his mind at the top of the building.
at one point i heard all this great music, and then realized it was playing live accross the street from me.
IMG_1660.JPG
i'm gonna miss that part of san francisco.
IMG_1667.JPG
i've been watching a lot of YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES, to the point that i find myself randomly thinking about how to knit the brompton school scarf; if i "figure it out" i'll definately post it up here.
i had been making a lot of progress with neil's sweater jacket...
IMG_1668.JPG
....however, there's been a set-back with the sleeves(much after the fact of this picture being taken) and i have to restart them...
i have to admit, this is the first pair of sox that i haven't been able to make easy progress with...
IMG_1670.JPG
...in fact, i'm dreading having to make a second...why did i think i wanted orange lace sox again?
in fact, i'm so dreading it, that i had a sox affair...i've made not only the "home" version of the ravenclaw sox, but the "away" version as well...
IMG_1671.JPG
...i've never had this experience with sox...there have been sox i've been excited to be finished with, but never sox that i have such trouble dealing with...i don't like this feeling...not.at.all..
this fellow was outside symphony hall to help with the celebration of the chinese new year!

so, it's come to my attention that, as much as i'd love to, i don't think i can complete this biechup blurbcat in one episode...tune in tomorrow for the conclusion....whew...
